Sailor Dick Strawbridge and wild swimmer Alice Roberts journey through the three uniquely distinctive waterscapes of author Arthur Ransome’s popular 1930s children’s series of novels, Swallows and Amazons. With Dick and Alice as our guides we unpack the stunning natural beauty of Britain’s wetlands, as they embark on a journey from north to south, beginning in The Lake District, sailing through the Norfolk Broads and ending at the Stour and Orwell estuaries on the Suffolk coast.
